Heroin, Cocaine, Weed, everything. It should all be legal. All victemless crimes should be legal. Thats the idea behind a free country. We should be free to do what we want as long as we arn't hindering the freedoms of someone else.

There are no victimless crimes, that's why they're crimes in the first place.

Smoking a joint is not a crime, it's a misdemeanor.

Why would things be worse? You think the only reason people dont do heroin and coke is cuz its illegal? There are plenty of reasons not to do these things besides the laws. Not to mention all the money wasted and lives ruined trying to prevent drug use. Wouldnt the world be alot better if instead of trying to stop drugs they tryed to stop violent crimes?

You honestly think the world will become a better place when shit like crack, heroin and crystal meth becomes legal and there is no more drug prevention? More and more people would think "Sure, why not, it's legal so it can't be that bad!", and you'd get an explosion of addicts and dopeheads, who can't function normally in every day life, resulting eventually in a collapse of economy and society as a whole. Did you ever think of that?

I'm all for legalizing weed, but harddrugs need to stay illegal and repressed. Trust me, I'm a former coke- and speedhead, I know what it can do to you. And those aren't even the worst drugs in the book.

a collapse of economy and society as a whole? Alright, you can definitely have prevention beyond legality. Do people you know who dont do heroin simply avoid it because of the legality? I seriously doubt it. Plus, with the BILLIONS of tax dollars you can run a pretty solid anti-drug education campaign, so people avoid drugs for the right reasons. Not to mention, cops will stop spending all their time on drugs, leaving them plenty of time to stop the absurd number of murders, rapes, and crime in the nation.

I think cops would be quite busy trying to pick drug crazed lunatics off the streets. It's the same thing in Holland, ever since they legalized weed and decriminalized a bunch of other drugs, there's been a steady increase in drug related police interventions. Drug tourists and smackheads causing trouble, mostly, to an extent that some politicians want to illegalize weed again. A perfect case of a minority of fuckers ruining it for the rest, and it will be exactly the same, if not worse, if you legalize hard drugs. There's enough drug related misery already, legalizing will only bring more.

IF dope was legal, it wouldn't make the crime rate drop.

Crime from dope happens when people don't have enough money to support their habit. They turn to theft, robbery, fraud, etc to finance their habits. Beatings and murders happens when drug deals go bad, when you don't pay. Legal or not, all that is still gonna happen.

Pot could be legalised cause its not the same, but I seriously doubt it ever will be.
