Moving from Garden to Pot

If i was to grow a plant outdoors, after 3 weeks of it growing i had to remove it from the garden and put it inside a pot. If i did this very safely dug 20 centimeters in the ground and left the roots unharmed, is it possible for this (plant) to survive if i put it in a nice new spot with plenty of sun, all organic fertilizer, compost and soil which are the same as i plented it in the garden with. Then sprayed, special organic mix with water, which is used to help plants in chock of been repoted. Would that plant have a fair chance of surviving??? I have done this already and it has been about 24 houres since its been done.
