The Ideal Customer

The ideal customer calls during your normal hours (not at 5:00 AM when he knows you're sleeping or at work) and says something like, "Hey, do you mind if I come over to hang out?" Since the person did not give any reason for the visit, you can assume he wants to buy some pot.

Even better is the person who has some other excuse to come and see you. However, this can cause complications if you are sometimes out of pot. Don't let someone drive to your house just to tell per you're out. That's just rude.

So in those times when you're out, you must come up with a plan before hand of what to say to drop the hint, or simply an excuse to why you can't hang out. Just saying, "I'm not going to be available for a couple days," should usually suffice. The problem comes when your friends are your customers (and this is usually the ideal situation) and you don't know if they want to hang out with you or they're just looking for pot. Sometimes it's worth it to work out a code before hand. (When you are unable to hook a person up for a while, make sure to call the person when you finally can. It's very unprofessional to not call when you say you will.)

(A bad customer will often ask multiple questions about why you're not available, ask if you can meet per in a parking lot really fast, or mention that he only needs to stop by for five minutes. A good customer, on the other hand, is patient and can take "no" for an answer, and will say something like, "Just give me a call when you feel like hanging out.")

When your ideal customer arrives at your door, he does not leave his car running, does not leave any other person waiting in per car, and does not bring any other person with per unless you already have established relations with that person, and have okayed it with your ideal customer.

(A bad customer won't even stop to think that you're risking your freedom, and will bring over just about anyone he feels like.)

If you already have people in your home, your ideal customer will wait for your initiative before asking to buy something. The ideal customer will then make conversation, watch TV, play video games, read magazines or find something else to do in your home for no less than half an hour, preferably closer to an hour. It's often a good idea to have something to keep them from getting bored. Cook your customers some food, or have collections of funny TV episodes to keep them occupied. Board games, magazines, or a nice glass bong should often keep someone occupied long enough to prevent the visit from looking suspicious. Frequent short visits are a common way cops are attracted to a drug dealer's home.

Some people think that the customer, at this point, should load a bowl for the dealer. Some would even say that it's rude for the customer not to smoke out the dealer. But I've found that it's mostly good customers that say this, and not dealers, so I tend to disagree. When you sell a sack at a certain price and weight, you've already figured out how much you think you should make, and weighed the sack accordingly. My theory is that dealers already have their own weed to smoke. Smoking pot is not nearly as big a deal to a dealer as it is for someone who has to pay top dollar for each bowl. (On the other hand, if someone is just hooking up a friend, and does not act as a regular dealer, it is rude not to smoke a bowl or give per something for per trouble.)

As the customer is leaving your house, he does not yell "thank you", so that the neighbors can hear, just as he did not thank you over the telephone.

And later, when your ideal customer is smoking the pot he got from you, he does not mention where it came from, and refuses to say your name or give any clues about you to anyone except your closest friends. Unfortunately though, it's very difficult to know if they're talking about you.

So remember these things, too, when you're re-supplying yourself. You must also do everything you can to be the ideal customer for your distributor. If you follow all the rules, they're more likely to trust you, feel comfortable selling to you and give you better deals.
