Managing Your Smoking Habits

The concepts here are very similar to managing your money. Remember that weed is the same as money. People often say that to a drug dealer weed is "practically free," but this usually comes from someone who's never sold and doesn't have a clear concept of the mathematics of dealing. If you smoke a bowl, you're smoking your money. It might cost you less to smoke that bowl than it would for a general user, but you're still smoking your money away.

However, I don't recommend anyone sell a drug that they don't use already. That's just weird, and it makes you look greedy, or like you're somehow above your customers. But you don't need to use it all that often.

Unfortunately marijuana really is psychologically addictive, and if you don't have good will-power, you'll find your smoking cutting into your profits a bit more than you desire. Like having piles of money, when you have lots of weed lying around your tendency is to smoke it. My recommendation is to give yourself a specific allotment. You can choose a weekly, daily or monthly allotment, but again, it will take much willpower to stick to your allotment. If you choose to give yourself weekly or monthly allotments make sure to track the amount you're smoking and ration it from the beginning. Also be sure to account for parties and special 420 gatherings when you're naturally going to smoke a lot more than you normally would.

Also, it's good to keep in mind the different methods of smoking pot. Knife hits and vaporizers conserve the weed far more than a bong does. Pipes are somewhere in between. I tend to smoke pot primarily through knife hits, as it takes less than half the amount each time to get me stoned.

Another point to mention in this section, is that while rationing your pot is extremely important, it's also fairly important to have a healthy social attitude about smoking. It's not polite to let your customers load all the bowls, and people generally look down on a dealer who's stingy in the smoking circle. Also, loading bowls, in some situations can help break the ice with potential customers and help advertise your wares.

On the other hand, don't let your social obligations get in the way of school or work. Don't feel guilty for not smoking pot with someone if you have a legitimate excuse like not being able to function at work stoned, or having a test to study for, or a drug test to take.

It's good to have distractions for the times when you're not selling. Find things to do with your time that don't involve smoking weed, things that interest you enough to distract you from smoking. Sports, hobbies, classes, etc. Don't spend every waking hour in the drug world, as you'll find yourself losing perspective on other things in life.
