The materials needed:
A reusable coffee filter(nylon mesh or brass mesh). Found at any grocery store.
Several bowls
A blender.
A refer.
A funnel is handy.
Paper coffee filters or paper towels.
For this run I'm using leaf trimmings. The better the bud, the more you will get. Also your water MUST be ice cold and you need to pre-freeze your bud before going on. The bud should be bone dry.

Next we'll add about 1 cup worth of dry frozen shake. To the blender. Pulverize the bud on a low seting.

Now add the ice water with a few ice cubes to the blender.

Let's whip it, whip it good . Not to long though, about 10 seconds or so. While it is still mixed well, pour about a 1/3 of the amount in the blender into the coffee screen inside of your bowl.
This is the important part. You want to use your filter like a tea bag. Dipping it, shaking it and stiring it over and over again. Keep this up for a few minutes.

Be sure not to overfill your screen. That's why we're pouring 1/3 at a time out of the blender. Be sure to remix it just before you pour it each time. Work it and shake it.

Next, we'll put the bowl back in the fridge for 45 min.

After 15 min, you can see the trics starting to settle. It is very important not to stir up the trics.

OK. 45 min. has gone by and it's time to collect the goodies. Very carefully pour off the top 3/4 of water into the blender. This water will be used for the 2nd run. You did save your trimmings for a second run didn't you?

Now we will pour what's left in the bowl through a paper coffee filter or a paper towel and catch our goodies.

As the water strains off, you may have to help it along a little. The hash clogs up the pours in the paper. Be very careful at this point. If you squeeze it to hard, you'll bust a hole and all your hash will run out the hole. The best coffee filters to use are the seamless ones. Carefully pinch the top of the filter togather and slowly twist it tighter. This will help get the water out faster. Keep it pinched tight with your fingers, so the water doesn't force its way to the top.

Softly cupping it in your hand helps the water to drain off.

Now it's ready to be pressed between a dry towel. Press down softly at first. Once all the water is soaked out of the filter, go ahead and put some weight into it and press as much moisture out of the hash as possible.

Keep moving it around to dry spots on the towel.

Time to scrape up the goods.

Remember, we have more then one bowl going, All of the pics were just following the first bowl of soup.

Looks like I just wiped my monkeys ass
My little first run monkey turd.

As far as drying goes. I'll leave it out for one night and then stick it in a zip-lock. I use a zip-lock because it is not totally air tight. I find that's just what works for me.
Now all you need is a few buddies and some guitars. I hope you enjoyed.
Peace
