OK for those of you who have veiwed my other Hash making pictorials you know all you will need are a few household items and a few simple steps.
First we will begin with harvesting Keif. You can smoke Kief as is or press into hash which will be shown later. For those of you who have a grinder or a box with a kief catch you can skip this step.
So to harvest the kief you will need a few tools:
1. Skuff, buds, stems or trimmmings, For this demonstration I used a jar of skuff I saved.
2. A metal coffee filter with a fine mesh screen
3. A piece of glossy news paper OR a clean counter or table will do
4. A old credit card
Once you have all of your equipment assmbled your work area should look like this.
Alright now lets get to work !
Step 1. Pour the skuff, buds, etc. into the filter over the news paper.
Step 2. Gently move the skuff around the screen, shake and tap the filter to help remove the trichomes
Step 3. After you move the skuff around shaking and sifting on to the paper you should see a dusting of trichomes on the paper.
Step 4. Scrape up these trichomes with the credit card
Step 5. Collect and store your Kief to be smoked as is OR......Press it into Hash !!!!
Now for those of you who wish to press your Kief into Hash, follow me through this Pictorial.
First of course the Equipment list.
1. Your stash of Kief
2. Parchment or Wax paper
3. Foil
4. A clothes iron
Your work area should look like this.
Now lets press our Kief into Pressed Hash.
Step 1. Pour the kief on the center of the Parchment paper
Step 2. Fold the paper into a envelope like package, with the kief in the center
Step 3. Place the paper package onto the center of the foil on the dull side not the shiny side.
Step 4. Fold the foil over the paper forming another package
Step 5. Turn the iron on low I repeat LOW, and allow to heat up for 5 minutes OR (you could have it preheating while your are going through the first 4 steps ) After the iron has heated put it on your kief package and press hard for 30 seconds on one side and 30 seconds on the other side for 1 minute total.
Step 6. Allow the package to cool for 2-3 minutes, the carefully open.
Now you have a nice lil brick of Pressed Hash, And thats it simple as can be ! Happy Hash Making Enjoy !!!!!
