I assumed it was alcohol, but was wondering if there was something else.

I cleaned my screen the other day with an air compressor at the garage hehe....

I've never actually heard of anyone cleaning their grinder...I know people who've had them for years and never needed to. I had one for a GOOD few months and cleaning it never once occurred to me

^ Really?

My old grinder got so much resin stuck inside it that it was hard to turn it. This one is fine so far but I got to thinking about that last night and it made me wonder

I just scrape it out with a craft knife, you have to hold the blade at an angle and press very lightly so it doesnt scrape the metal though. It doesn't look shiny new but functions fine enough for me. I didnt want to use anything like alcohol or chemically on mine but everyone has their own way right? :)

higher your grinder doesnt look like good quality!
the parts that bust the weed aren't very blade-like, that makes the twisting and cutting a lot harder
and there is no compartment for the crystals to collect in. meaning they settle in the grinder part and clog the whole works up.
my first suggestion is to buy a better grinder, youll need to clean it far less. and when you do scrapping around the edges gently with a small knife is all it takes.
