Okay nice one.

I'm going to stick to soft white cfl's...

I'm trying to calculate how many i will need for 3 plants.

Trouble is, i don't know what i'm looking at. I can go into a hardware store and stare aimlessly all day at the different bulbs. I just don't know which ones to buy for these 3 plants and how many.

This grow is going to be a one off grow if i can help it, growing once. Due to i am trying to get some extra cash and if successful and everyone including me is satisfied i'll do it again.

Question:

Soft white cfl's... how many bulbs, how much wattage and etc. for 3 plants.......?

of these:

i think i got something! >.<

Will those work? and if so how many for 3 plants do you think?

Good lord...I am getting so confused myself lol.

Warm white is the same as soft white

Look for any twisty lightbulb that should say (note I said should) either warm white or soft white on it. 42 or 45 watts like you showed me. The lumens of those will be in the 2700-3000 range. The names of them can confuse you like they do me so focus on the lumens and wattage

You need 3 of these.

You want something that screws into a light fixture not something that requires an electronic ballast like the above bulb you posted
