Hardest game you ever played?

for me it would be a toss up between Flash back (genesis) and Mike tysons punch out (NES). flash back was just a pain in the ass and Mike tyson was impossible to beat.

ya i would say its a game worth being in a top 10 of its time list. easy enough to dig deep into it but tough enough to keep you from beating it if youre not worthy. unfortunately i wasnt...

hardest game to beat? well... i dont find many games hard to beat but right now its castlevania something on my GBA. dont play it much though... probably cuz i got a psp now.. and soon a DS,,,

capcom platform classic ghouls and ghosts on mega drive and snes.

hardest game ever and its official.
i havent met a single person in the world who has completed this game.

other hardcore games...
trauma centre: under the knife (ds) - harder than a brick.
castlevania: dawn of sorrow (ds) - cant get past soemthing like the 4th level.
guitar hero (ps2) - ever tried bark at the moon on expert difficulty??? i have and its hard as fook

Medal Of Honor: Pacific Assault. the jungle missons are so trippy when your high... because they are so realistic, when reacting with the sun, and the mouse is delayed a bit wich adds to the trippyness... this game is hard as hell , ive only ever reached the jungle missions

I wouldn't call it the hardest game I've ever played, but San Andreas has a few really tough missions.

The most difficult one IMO is the one where you have to fly Zero's remote controlled plane and blow up a bunch of couriers and fly back to the starting point before your fuel runs out. I must have tried that mission 30 times in a row and STILL couldn't beat it! GRRRR

hahah everyone i know that tried this mission ended up screaming at the TV and throwing the controller (including me). It made me feel like i really achieved something when i finally beat it.
