^ god i love that movie, he has the biggest sword in that movie, its hilarious. my favorite would have to be yojimbo as it is the only one actually own. i love the intro scene where you see yojimbo walk into an empty street and you see a dog run across carrying a severed human hand in his mouth. set up the tone really well.
its crazy how a lot of his stuff was used for later, more popular movies...
yojimbo-->man with no name series: fist full of dollars, for a few dollars more, etc. (clint eastwood westerns)
hidden fortress-->star wars
seven samurai-->the magnificent seven
i heard he even worked on tora!tora!tora! but got canned for some conspiracy issues. damn he was a great director. as you can see, i like him a lot

Yeah, it's a shame Kurosawa and Mifune had a fallout, I would have loved to see more movies from that duo.
Yojimbo is my favourite as well, the way he plays both sides against eachother is sheer brilliance. He does it out of honour, but also to put as much gold in his purse as possible... gotta love that.
i love the giant japanese dude with the big hammer, he looked totally out of place among a bunch of samurai and japanese mobsters

just found a new classic... its called rage of masters. its full of terrible dubbing, bad sets and scenery and a whole lot of blood and fighting. theres one guy in the movie with a mole the size of a half dollar on his face with a giant 4 inch hair coming out of it. i couldnt keep myself from cracking up!
