deceived justice

walk alone
endless night
darkness encases
evil transcends
wake me from this dream
of endless self pity
gone into the abyss
lost to its void
confusion is understanding
when all is ethereal
all is flux
in my world of dreams

my inner fire burns bright
but just a trick of mirrors
a single candle in this forest
I've lost my way
the signs foreign
calling for your touch
to pull me back
but i drift where you cannot tread
in a sea of loathing
and so wander on
to some higher fate
or cursed by the heavens
till debt repaid
by blood or essence
and so i know what it is
to live as the beggar does

our tears wept
quench their thirsts
our pain
embodied and murdered
a feast for the damned
are you yet blind?
for you cannot see me
are you yet numbed?
for you cannot feel me
vibrations fall on deaf ears
for their greed has taken all
and so we fall
as those before us
lost to eternity
