I have always enjoyed Clooney. He is a man who can obviously act consistently competently, and is also interesting to look at. And I have not seen a film he was involved in which didn't affect me in some way. So...I was pleased to come across Up in the air on my hard drive, having no idea what it was about, to his play and see Clooney appear on screen...
This cinematic offering is about Love. Fratellity. Companionship. Lust. And the reality of living purely hedonistically, as in solely for fun in the Now. Georgey boy is a terminator of sorts, whose job is to sack employees. Its interesting to see and feel how people react to losing the money fountain which supports their very existence. The moment when they are told that Its Over. As to many, understandably, and accurately, such a scene completely changes their lives. They are forced to change their lives...Clooney plays the part with respectable pedigree. And his character is so valuable in the position, precisely because he lives his life with a dedication to avoiding ANY BAGGAGE OF ANY KIND.
Some intriguing lifestyle choices are brought to the fore. With enough gusto and craft for me to become involved enough in the storyline to award this a commendable 7/10.

Re: Up in the air
I'll give this movie a go but the name reminds me of a time when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I was in my old house and was looking for a video to watch, I was shuffling through them all and came across one I hadn't seen "Up In The Air", so I stuck it in (my mum was in the kitchen at this point) and hit play. What came on the screen was a MASSIVE orgy on a plane, I had never seen anything like it before, my eyes just went like this..

I realised I probably wasn't supposed to see this so I quickly took it out and ran upstairs to think about what I'd just seen, didn't know what to make of it... Anyways, that was my first porno, Up In The Air haha. Just thought I'd share

I too have this on my hard drive and have been so close to watching it that I loaded it onto the ps3 ready to sit down, but was called away. I will definitely fire up the ps3 again soon to watch it

Re: Up in the air
You mean the porn movie or the newer non triple-x rated version?
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.
