Alan Wake
From the guys that brought us Max Payne, psychological action/horror/survival game.
One word: Epic.
Running through a forest at night, wind howling, dark shadows surrounding you feels so goddamn real, suspense is omnipresent and you never feel safe, until you reach a lightsource.
Plays like a charm, save for facial expressions perhaps it looks like a movie and the story is AAA!
9.5/10
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Re: Alan Wake
that whole thing about the darkness and youre never safe made me think "Gears of War" but after i watched the trailer it seemed like a movie. the thing that gets me though is that this seems like one of those games with graphics and story but no gameplay.
i still wanna play this, might pick it up in a few weeks.

oh, the gameplay is excellent man, running around, aiming and shooting, picking up items...it's all very smooth. And it's cut up into episodes as well so it really feels like you're watching a series, he also narrates the story, pretty cool, and the story is superb.

Re: Alan Wake
It's been a long time since anyone could say it, but a new Remedy game is finally out on store shelves. You may have already seen our review, but whether it's a videogame, an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, or a random post about someone's mom weighing them underwater, people are bound to express different viewpoints.
