The wolfman

Its a tough task to do much with a story which has been done many times before. The rise of the lycans attempted to expand upon the story, by mixing two passages of supernatural genre together, but for me, it failed. Perhaps with better actors it would have been much improved. The reason I gave this a chance, The Wolfman, that is, was because it involved two of my favourite actors, Hopkins and Del Toro. The main thing that stood out about this latest in a long line of werewold flicks, was the graphic savagery depicted, as well as the expected sterling performances of Del Toro and Hopkins. Its rare, in werewolf efforts, to see the beast in question, lacertaing not just individuals, but whole groups of people...which was a refreshingly exciting touch. A man riding through a forest in darkness, is prone, vulnerable, to slaugher by such a wild beast, but a whole gypsy encampment???? hohohohoho! what fun, for a vicious, needy for blood monster, to truly go to town. Hardly worthy of scaring me, though my dreams were affected after watching it...I enjoyed this.

I saw it and was really disappointed...well actually I saw only part of it cause I fell asleep at some point which is a sign of extreme boredom

This is a remake of the first werewolf movie, im pretty sure by the same name. so there wasnt much they could do to change it other than make it more modern.. ill give this a watch but i hear its not that great

My parents watched it and said it was "really good". I'm going to give it a watch because I like Hopkins and Del Toro.

i do very much enjoy hopkins... so maybe i will give it a bash soon
