Seriously? Screw Ohio laws
I know that I have been bitching a lot, but shit's hitting the fan a lot right now.
Just got a letter from my insurance company, saying that, "due to the nature of my offense ( carrying small amount of weed and paraphernalia - a minor misdemeanor here) that I will no longer be covered under them". To top it off, I was 17 at the time of my arrest, and I am still under my fathers insurance policy. So not only am I being dropped, but my whole family on the policy is also, (4 others). Not to mention the fact that i will have to pay $500+ just to get my license back in march, but now I am also probably going to have to get an SR22 for my insurance. I don't understand this country... Anyone ever experience anything close to this that could shed some insight?
On the bright side, 13 more days of Compliance orders...

sounds like you're under a shitty insurance company. I've never heard of anyone doing that unless it was a DUI/DWI type ordeal. Good luck with everything though, sounds like you are getting royally F'd in the A by the law..

That Sucks man. Can't you appeal against something like that, to say it wasn't as if you were driving under influence? Check out the terms of the policy which you and our family agreed upon. If it mentions nothing relating to these circumstances then that provides grounds for appeal.
Death is the only certainty. EVERYTHING else is variable.

Yeah, it's ridiculous though. the marijuana laws themselves are pretty chill, but they fuck you over with paraphernalia. and they can count bags alone as paraphernalia

I feel ya. I live on the border of a strict marijuana state and one that is pretty liberal. It's important to know what the laws are where your at and try to comply with them as much as possible. For example, keeping everything in one bag or knowing what kind of drugged driving laws are in effect.

Yeah, thats what really pisses me off. I was convicted of possession, not driving while under the influence.
