Karas and Karas: The Prophecy

In the city of Shinjuku a conflict between a rouge Karas by the name of Eko and the "will of the city" rage in a conflict for dominance, a Karas brought about to fight the rouge has fallen leaving the city and it's inhabitants defenseless, soon after Otoha a comatose patient is chosen to become a new Karas to face off the rouge Karas Eko to decide the fate of the city and it's inhabitants.

The old Karas is dead, killed by an evil ex-Karas who now named himself Ekou. He started a series of murders against humanity by making his loyal youkai drain the body fluids from humans. Otoha ,a young man who just woke from a coma, is chosen to be the new Karas. Him and his trainer, Yurine, start the fight against the evil forces of darkness that are triyng to conquer the city of Shijuku

The movies are kind of backwardish when it comes to plot. Still amazing. The music is epic..the fight scenes are beyond epic. Most definately on my top list of favorite anime movies of all time.

Otogi Zoshi is a slow starter but its more for an adult audience and the story is quite interesting once it finally gets going. There are two chapters to the story, the first is set in ancient japan during the heian period, the second is set during modern day japan. I cant really tell you much without giving too much away, but it basically follows the story of a brother and his younger sister who are heads of a clan asked to retrieve these things called magatama for the emperor so he can save Tokyo from evil. You can check it out on wiki but there are a few spoilers so dont say you weren't warned.

When it was on adult swim I watched it a few times...never really understood the plot though. I'll give it a shot. It probably wouldn't hurt to watch the episodes in order lol.
