sorry man, they are the same damn thing. OXYCONTIN is a brand name, and oxycodone is the chemical name. they have the same addiction potential, they are just as bad.

sorry to burst your bubble man but you are completelty wrong. my mom was presribed oxycodone for a surgery. i snorted atleast half the bottle over months of period of time. i could snort two pills a day and barely be fucked up and not fein (sp?) it the next day. oxy CONTIN on the other hand, i split an 80 with my boy in the matter of three nights(would split a quarter at a time and it would completely fuck my world up) about 2 weeks ago, and i am still feinin that shit like a mother fucker up to this point. just speaking from experience man. no flame intended.

no flame taken, but, ok, my bad, i thought he was trying to spell oxycontin, but dude, Oxycodone is chemical in the painkiller, it is an opiate. oxycontin, oxycotton, all the oxys contain oxycodone, the only difference lies within the added painkiller. oxycodone can be alone, as oxycodone, or with Acetaminophen or Asprin as oxycontin, oxycotton, oxycet, oxycocet, oxycodan, ect. i googled oxycotton and every link i found turned out ot be for oxycontin, i wasnt lying, oxycontin is pronouced like oxycotton. heh, oxycontin is harder on the nose because it contains acetaminophen, whereas oxycodone is pure, thus it doesnt burn as much. the same chemical, same addiction potential, same damage, but because of the chemical being alone, you will get better results(probably increases addiction potential)

I hate to tell you DrGreen, But this dudes right... Oxycodone is the main active ingridient in Oxycontin... Stay away... Pop some Somas, Zanys, Tylenol 3s and 4's, And alot of other shit. But stay away from the OC's..

for some reason i don't think that this is true. i'm sure most of what you said is true but im just trying to say that oxycontin is WAY more harmful and addictive for you then oxycodone. the oxycodone i had looked EXACTLY like the pic off of erowid. idk man. im confused lol
