Cheaper than the PS3 (actually AFFORDABLE), and yet, looks really damn fun and gives video games a well needed refreshing twist. I know alot of people think the Wii is gay but the first system I ever got was the NES, and I'm getting one of these at the first chance I get.

What do all of you guys think of this system?

it is pretty damn fun. i played wii sports and was all into the boxing.

I think I heard that it's supposed to be the weakest of the three new-gen consoles, but I think it redeems itself by what looks to be some really interesting gameplay methods.

weakest , yeah.. but also the cheapest.. i have a 360 already, i think the ps3 is just a waste of money so i hope on getting a Wii after christmas sometime.

I think nintendo and microsoft will go head to head like nintendo and sega did back in the 16-bit days. ps3 is too big, too gaudy, and too expensive.

i dont really care how powerful it is, i have fun on myy old school gameboy. wii just looks like a whole load of fun. i want my parents to get me one for christmas

haha wii's cool.. I want one.

Will be way more fun to play this completely stoned than any regular console (altough 360 rocks too, and I'm sure ps3 also will but the prices are just ridiculous and a waste of money if you'd ask me.) .. (i''m not that hardcore into gaming + I have a nice Pc so why bother)

Anyway I haven't seen any multiplayer options yet for the wii, like playing tennis against eachother or something.. Also curious about an internet option.

Can't wait

the wii sounds good, but how well does the motion sensors react to your actions....i mean if your playing a sword game and you start swinging really fast, will the gameplay keep up or will it lag. because if it can keep up with fast pace movement, ye the wii is amazing. but if it lags and its just a shitty console with a new (but crappy low budget motion sensor) then screw it...plus wat games does wii have right now. ive heard the zelda game out for it is REALLY good, and i can see why since the one for n64 was really big. but i havnt really heard of any other games for the wii other than sports games and the only reason those are good is because of the motion sensor controller.

and i know ps3 costs a shit load (i agree) but metal gear solid is coming out on that....OH MAN ! ! ! gotta get it for that, i luv metal gear and final fantasy...amazing games!

wow. the way you put it makes it sound amazing.

well if indeed it does react and keep time with really quick motion and doesnt lag, then i tip my hat to this new wave of controllers.

but even though wii does have great controls and everything, i grew up on playstation and believe playstation will set the standard here as well.

sorry, just the way i grew up. stubborn i know

Edit: just tried the wii. tried almost every sports game except baseball n bowling and luved everyone one of them. then i tried red steel n thought that was even better. didnt think wii would be this much fun, wonder what smash bros is gonna be like on this
