Short Reviews: Project Gotham Racing 3, Test Drive: Unlimite

Alright first:

Project Gotham Racing 3 (Xbox 360):

Project Gotham Racing is a pretty decent game to play stoned. First off, it has a career mode that really transplants you into the character. It is much like that arcade racing experience where you unlock cars and new levels. The gameplay is just right for the stoner when playing on easy mode. The controls are easy and the races are nice and short. However, the best part is the feel of driving. It gives you a realistic experience while being nice and forgiving. Another nice thing is that this game actually encourages interesting driving like powersliding and drifting. My only complaint about this game is that you cannot customize your car. In this game it feels as if you are renting the car rather than buying it. Overall, I'd give this game 4 Joints out of 5.

Test Drive: Unlimited:

This game is very much like the arcade driving games except a little worse. It's career mode is much like NFS: Underground where you drive around and start new races. For the stoner this translates into too much busywork and not enough action. Furthermore, the graphics leave a lot to be desired. The cars look like toys instead of the sophisticated machines they are. The biggest problem is that the game-play is very repetitive. The tracks are all basically the same and thus it gets boring rather quickly. Overall, a 2 out of 5.
