It may be because i do not see myself as british, but i really do not see any point of the queen, or any of the royal family. In my eyes all she does is sit on her arse all day and get payed for it. And why? becasue years ago her ancestors decided to kill people for their land. any 1 feel the same, or has any 1 got a reason why ther shud be a family taking your money for no reason at all ???

if they really cared so much about their people they wouldnt have big castles they wouyld live in normal houses and give all the money they would normal make for not doing too much at all to the people, for roads ect.

but the queen does do a bit of work and from what ive heard has a busy schedual. so she probably doesnt sit on her ass as much as you think

ive been to england once, so im not much of an expert on the subject. thats jsut what ive heard.

Belgium's kind of a monarchy too, though the king acts more like a symbol than that he can really exercise any powers.

It's been like that for ages, I guess it's just the way it is. Although you can say the same about Presidents, why should one man (and his family) benefit from it ?

its good to have IF, IF our parliaments go psycho (Hitlerian style) and then the monarch can overrule the parliament. But other than that, its alot of pomp and circumstance.

exactly, besides making a lot of money via tourism for london (which i live 300 miles away from) i struggle to see the point. theres massive floods going on in england and wales now and all she can say is how sorry she feels. get your hand in your pocket woman!

Taig (also "Teague") is a slang term used by some in Scotland and Northern Ireland to refer to Irish Roman Catholics. It is derived from the Irish name Tadhg, considered to be "the man on the street" (i.e. the average Irish person you would meet anywhere), and it is generally considered to be highly offensive.

The monarchy is a key figure in British history and we (People living in British Empire) owe literally all our lives and the way in which we live to the royal family, maybe not this generation but the previous.

I feel strongly about the importance of the queen and, I mean this in the least insulting way possible, would spit in the face of anyway who came up to me and insulted our royal family.
