anyways, hash:
firstly and my faverote type of hash: Squidgy
i call it squidgy cos u can squeeze n shape it without heating it, a example of a squidgy type hash would be gold seal, nepalise tempal balls, and stuff like that, its usualy a dark colour, but it does vary, u can always tell squidgy, as i said, u can squeeze it without heating, its also called 'finger-hash' this is because it is produced by men handling high crystal weed, so that some sticks to their fingers and hands, they then rub their hands and fingers together to compress it into a small ball, they repeat the process untill they have made a reasonable sized lump of hash.
secondly, blond hash/pollen:
pollen is usualy quite thin, or at least it was traditionaly, for this, people would collect thc crystals and trichromes by going through fields with large sheets (i think it was linen... i am unsure of the material, but it matters not) they rub these sheets against the plants, untill they have collected a good weight of crystals and trichromes with their sheet, the crystals is then transfered to a even finer sheet, where it is wrapped and put in a hot press, where it is pressed to about the size and shape of a book, and then removed from the sheet once its cooled, they have a nice block of blond hash, it is usualy quite light in colour, tho not always, usualy more brittle than all the others, and if u look really closely, if u snap it, u should be able to see the small granuals in it .a commonly known pollen hash's are morrocan blond and another if anyone heard of it, Leb.
thirdly, press:
press is a new form of hash, it is made in factories and came about to produce hash quicker and more effectivly, there are many ways in which this is made, but its usualy along the same lines, the plant is usualy treated in some way to remove the thc, usualy by submerging it and allowing all crystals to dissolve, then removin plant debris and evaporating the solvent, leaving them with 'hash oil' (will come to that) they then add some hardening chemicals and press it (tho they press it cold instead of hot - usualy) press hash is usualy dark, and very tough, and its very hard to break without heating it first, press hash is pretty much every hash that doesnt fall into any of the other categories, press hash is also the hash which is used when people make soapbar (will also explain soon) so i cant give u any names, as i dont know any, its just normal hash like.
Soapbar:
this is made usualy from press hash, pollen/squigy dont work to well in this process
soapbar is either made directly, or they treat the press hash further to liquidify it again, basicaly its press hash with lots of other things thrown in, i cant tell u whats init, i dont kno myself, i have heard that they put shit, hay, brick powder, engine oil, and all kinds of things init just to make it go further, shit i kno, but there u go, thats soapbar, soap's usualy quite difficult to tell apart from press as they look so similar, u can only tell when u smoke it (also if u find bits of plastic inside it u kno its soap)
Hash Oil&Budder:
this is one of the purest forms besides Budder, basicaly like i said in pess hash, the plant is submerged in a solvent (usualy something like butane cos it has a low boiling temp) the plant is left to rest untill all the crystals are dissolved, then the plant debris is removed, the butane is then evaporated with a heat source (like hot water, Not a flame! butane is very flamable)
this leaves a golden brown-ish semi-liquid, if i had to compare it, it looks shockingly like honey, as i result i will often call it honey rather than hash oil. Budder is a further development on hash oil, basicaly, the oil is further treated with more chemicals to isomerise the THC and it is wipped through air, to make it a more solid form, but still melts easy, its physical properties is much like butter, hence the name Budder, it is very hard to produce and requires specific apparatus and chemicals, i dont even kno which ones u need, i just kno they are needed.
and thats pretty much all hash, there is plantblock, but i have always never seen this as a proper hash, its like a bud+hash hybrid, its basicaly where the plant is grinded, and the whole thing is then compressed into a block, its usualy a green or grey-ish green in colour, as it is basicaly bud crushed up n compressed, usualy able to pull bits straight out (depending on thc consistancy is how well it sticks together) as i said, its not really a hash, but its really a bud either, so its like half way, lol
u dont see plant block around much, most people never bother with it, mainly only done by growers who want their personal stash to take up less space.
so yea
there we go, a little (or huge) and breif description of the major hash groups, as u no doubtly guessed, each group has numerous types in it, u kno, made from different plants, or different THC quantities leading to different names of the specific hash, but they will all fall under one of these general groups
