1000 Watt hps

I came across a 1000 watt hps bulb at work and snagged it along with 3 mercury 475w and 2 other HID lights.....I want to grow 2-3 (however i can fit in a closet) i know i have enough lighting....what should i use for the beginning of the growth, when should i change bulbs, and how close to keep from the plants...thanks

Don't use those bulbs for a small closet. Get a 400w HPS system.

I have 4 175watt heliums, should i use them all the way through?? Would i get closer to max yeilds compared the the 1000 hps?? Is it too hot or what? Thanks!

Yes, 1000w is too hot. Unless you build an acceptable cooling system. More watts, more yield. Only use sodium bulbs, as it's more power and is more efficient.

Yes, but what about the 3-4 helium bulbs, will the be acceptable? Or bad?

I got a 400watt hps smaller version of my 1000 and a 450watt (for germination) halogen bulb....would you guys do it differently/better??...will this be enough to get max yields from 2 - 4 plants?

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT. STICK TO THE 400W. USE FLUROS FOR SEEDLINGS AND 1-2 OLD PLANTS.
