Started watching the second in the Band of Brothers series yesterday.
Saw six out of ten episodes, I must say that, even though it has the same quality it feels like the lesser of the two.
Band of Brothers was perfect, you got to know the main characters one by one, bonded with them, then they started dying and you really felt bad when one of them got hurt/killed.
Now you get thrown into the thick of it, there's barely any time to get to know the Characters and it all feels so aloof, like you're simply the camera watching stuff happen rather than feel connected to the men fighting for their lives.
Also, this series puts the focus more on life behind the lines, civilian life, you follow one or two characters as they meet girls etc... It feels different.
The combat itself is once again perfect, I have the feeling it's more hollywood than BoB was, loads more action, loads more actores on screen, big explosions, lots of gore, I love it!
Now we're only halfway through this series but so far all I can say is that it is once again a work of art, but doesn't reach the heights Band of Brothers did back when it came out.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.
