Following up my favorite ps1 game thread i have made your favorite ps2 game thread. my fav ps2 game has to probably be Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eatter.What are your favorite ps2 games?

Final Fantasy 9 or Killzone they're the only two which spring to mind atm..

i was really into the "devil may cry" games
and who can forget GTA?
jumping off skyscrapers to see if you can land on a car was the best

Grand Theft Auto ftw.

Nothing can really beat running people over with cars...and having sex with hookers, then beating them with a baseball bat and taking your money back.

i think the best GTA was San Andreas it had so many elements. Ive never played Devil May Cry ive heard a lot about it though. Ive ppayed Killzone2 but not 1.

I loved San Andreas! Also loved the SSX Tricky games. Tiger Woods 2006. Nascar Thunder 2004. Tony Hawk Underground.

i forgot about the tony hawk games!
i freaking loved those but i must admit my favorite part was designing the characters

i remember being able to play as a kid in a wheelchair in one of the tony hawks. i also liked God Of War 1&2

A few, but the best GTA: San Andreas.

Yeah, gotta say Devil May Cry, the original one, is absolutely on my top 3. Also included would be Silent Hill 2/3 (tied, maybe a little more for 3 though) and NBA Jam is fun as shit too. San Andreas was always a good time.

Final Fantasy Seven. Greatest of the final fantasy series and it actually had characters that swore and were involved in many mature situations. The older final fantasies were not on consoles that lacked the processing power to put together a graphic/adult themed. The ones after seven all have I guess "kiddy" themes, eight is reasonably good one, but it come anywhere close to seven.

Furthermore, Cloud Strife and Sephiroth are probably the greatest hero/villain combo in all of RPGs. Sephiroth is probably one of the more badass villains in all of video games. How many other games had the balls to kill off one of the main characters (Aerith Gainsborough) in your party midway through the game? I also really enjoyed looking for and breeding rare chocobos for the chocobo farm and for racing at Wonder Square.

However, there is one villain who is nastier than Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy series and that is Kefka (FF VI), this dude is simply pure evil. Plus I really enjoyed looking for and breeding rare chocobos for the chocobo farm and for racing at Wonder Square.

**EDIT** Forgot that FF7 was for the original playstation, not sure what I enjoyed most for PS2.

Without any doubt it is PES, whichever version is right for the year. The one game, the only game, I have purchased soon after, or upon the day of its release, year upon year.

I used to like metal gear solid...SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEE...

and hardly ever play the system these days, other than when my nephews visit and I trounce them at PES.
