I'm not a travelling man so I can't really help you...
I'm wondering though, why you are considering travelling to these countries? Vacation? Work? Other?

I've been pretty much all over France and Spain. What would you like to know?
Death is the only certainty. EVERYTHING else is variable.

Re: Travel Advice sought...
Presently, the plan is looking loosely like this>
I arrive home on 14th May.
My Lady will already be in Europe by then, likely starting in Prague, moving through Austria, then down to Switzerland where her cousin lives...then onto London to meet me on the 17th.
A few days spent in Kent with my family and off to Paris by EUROSTAR on Sunday 19th, where we will stay for 3 nights...as to where?>??? Presently we are making enquiries on the airbnb.com site, largely to little joy thus far. As for areas of Paris, we were focusing on La marais or montmarte/sacer couer area. What are the major sights other than the Effiel tower, louvre, champs elysee, sacre coeur...I have not visited many of the major tourist attractions as my previous numerous visits to Paris were polarized in St germain en laye...
On the 22nd, we may get a bus (3.5 hours) to Brussels...to stay in what area for the best, I am unsure...Any suggestions??? One of my closest friends, Mario lives there and I recall the city appearing easy on the eye architecture wise, kinda medieval, good bars, pricey but sat and clean...what are the main sites of interest/beauty??? Decent area to stay???
Back to gay paris on the 23rd, either to catch the train back to london, or break the trip with another night in paris...then London> Brighton, for a 2/3 night stay...collide as brothers with my tribe, drink well, eat well, show my Lady my old stomping ground...before a few days in London...then home to Kent for my mother's 70th birthday. soon after which we fly to Marrakesh, for 14/15 nights in Morocco...
We will take the boat back, probably Tangier > Tarifa...then would very much like to spend a couple of nights on the southern coast of Spain, as to where??? Somewhere not crowded, cheap, and loosely not moving too far away from our next main destination of Seville...2/3 nights in Seville, then fly to Barcelona...2/3 nights there, then coach to Toulouse, and from there we are giving ourselves 4/5 days to get back to London for the 29th June. Which will give us a night and morning back home in Kent, then back to London to fly out to Bangkok...for our trip into VIetnam/Cambodia/Laos...

Mate, my french is OK. At least still intact enough to afford me the basics needed for a traveler to get by. No trouble asking directions, costs, dates, hotels, places, even making slight conversation about where i am from, and who i am. The trouble is that I am English. And my parisian cousins rarely take well to a man of my tongue or tenacity...poutain de chinois!!!

Could get caught, but you're a genius you probably thought of that in the beginning.
