New to Growing
Ok, well I'm gonna sound like I've never even smoked before but here it goes. I know that you smoke buds but do you also smoke the leaves of a female plant? Like, do you crumble up the dried leaves and put that in a joint and save the buds for pipes and bongs or what?

Like Higher said, No, Leaves are basically useless to smoke.Kurosaki Ichigo wrote:Ok, well I'm gonna sound like I've never even smoked before but here it goes. But you can make cannabutter out of them and eat them.

Heres a recipie for cannabutter from OG.think you can make lots of oil with those bags of shake as well.
You just need a lot of 91% Isopropyl alcohol, patience, and warm sunlight.
From what I gather (now anyone feel to correct me if I'm wrong) this is how you make hash oil.
Grind up all your shake, but you don't have to be too fussy. Just basically dump the shit in with your shake. Then you cover it, and leave it in a dark place for like 2 weeks. This turns the alcohol a sickly green color.
Then strain all the shake out of the alcohol, and pour the liquid into a pot or something.
*WARNING! HEATING ANY TYPE OF ALCOHOL IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!*
I've read that you can heat the green alcohol in a pot on a very low heat to slowly evaporate the alcohol. Unless you have a well ventilated kitchen, fire extinguishers, and your house insurance is paid up in full, then I wouldn't recommend heating unless you know what you're doing.
The preferred method is slower, but much safer and that's leaving the liquid in an open container out in the hot sun. Don't ask how long it would take to evaporate, but it'll probably be quite awhile.
I have listed a recipe for a large batch, using up to a pound of trimmings. The quality of the finished products is related to the quality of your material used. You can divide the recipe according to how much material available or use this ratio:
1 ounce cannabis
8 ounce butter
16 ounce water
Cannabutter
1/2 to 1 pound of cannabis
5 pounds butter
cheesecloth
thick rubber bands
tall plastic containers with lids
4 gallon cooking pot
Place butter, cannabis in your pot. Fill with water to several inches of the brim. Cover, slightly cracked and bring to a boil over medium heat. Lower heat to simmer and cook for 6 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally. remove from heat and allow to cool until you can safely handle the pot easily. Stretch cheesecloth over the plastic containers and secure tightly with rubber bands. Ladle the mixture, onto the cheesecloth until each container is filled several inches from the top. Remove cheesecloth and tightly squeeze the remaining liquid from the strained matter. Place the containers in your freezer on a level surface for at least 6 hours. The butter will solidify and some of the water will turn to ice. Take off the lid, and with one hand supporting the ice block, turn container upside down and release. Some water will come pouring out, and the ice just needs to be scraped away from the butter block. You should be left with a round slab of light green butter. It can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen for long term storage. You can use cannabutter just as you would regular butter in any recipe. Hold on tight...
