How do you take DMT? What isit?

Dimethyltriptamine, my friend, is extracted from certain plants found mainly in the Amazon rainforest but there are still a lot of others that grow around the world, Canary Reed Grass for example, although I hear it's quite hard to extract it from that. The stuff I tried was from Australia.

DMT is a powerful, visual psychedelic which produces short-acting effects when smoked. It is used orally in combination with an MAOI, as in ayahuasca brews. It is naturally produced in the human brain and by many plants.

Like they said, it's also produce in the human brain by the Pineal Gland, which some rumour to be the mythical Third Eye. It's produced when you're born, when you die, and suspected to be produced very very minutely when you dream. It comes in a crystal form and a resinous form, as usual the crystal form is much more potent, as Funk Doc could tell ya haha.

Onset
When smoked, DMT generally reaches full effects within 10-60 seconds of inhalation.

Duration
The primary effects of N,N-DMT last approximately 5-20 minutes when smoked. For many people there is an additional period of time (1-2 hrs) before fully returning to baseline. Some people find DMT experiences difficult to integrate and experience unsettling thoughts and feelings for days after use.

The Experience
To quote Terence McKenna, "The feeling of doing DMT is as though one had been struck by noetic lightning. The ordinary world is almost instantaneously replaced, not only with a hallucination, but a hallucination whose alien character is its utter alienness. Nothing in this world can prepare one for the impressions that fill your mind when you enter the DMT sensorium."

The smoked DMT experience is short, but generally incredibly intense. Onset is fast and furious, sometimes compared to being launched from a cannon. It is a fully engaging and enveloping experience of visions and visuals which varies greatly from one individual to the next. Users report visiting other worlds, talking with alien entities, profound changes in ontological perspective, fanciful dreamscapes, frightening and overwhelming forces, complete shifts in perception and identity followed by an abrupt return to baseline. Because of the nature and intensity of the experience, users are almost always seated or lying down with someone nearby to take the pipe as the experience begins. Intense and varied visuals are common.

i was researching it a bit on erowid last night too. im starting to save money for bonnaroo and make a to do list. so far its #1 DMT #2 Peyote. ill probably find some more nuts shit to do by next june

DMT can be taken pretty much every way there is to take a drug. Smoking it is the most intense, but i dunno, its a bit of a fucked up thing to smoke. The smoke smells like fresh tennis balls.

Yeah, smoking it is terror for your tastebuds. I mixed mine with some weed to make it less harsh, but it was still a 'don't think, just smoke' experience. But well worth the horrible taste, I mean, GOD DAMN, what a drug! And since it is naturally produced, it is far less harmful than any other psychedelic drug.

It's quite hard to get, like WSD said, it takes the right connections. I haven't heard from my DMT guy in ages, so I might need to start looking for another one.
