many histry classes here teach portions of religion nd philisophy, but teachers arent allowed to place opinions or allow kids to go in depth/place opinions about it. Also, for extracircular activities sponsored by the school (here schools sponsor sports and such) teachers can pray and allow kids to join in, but can not force them too or if someone is uncomfortable with it they must do it silently.

as far as Ramadam, like tweed sayd, its just during daylight. And you are allowed to have water. (from waht i understand). besides, its in daylight savings so there isnt too much daylight, unlesss your in the southern hemisphere.

Don't say that about the US. Its all a matter of where ya live. Are you from a red state? By the fifth grade we knew all about polytheism, monotheism, who founded what religion, who can't eat what, who believes in what. I'm pretty sure the US isn't subpar. Just certain areas.

Dunno what kind of Muslim you are, Sunni, Shi'ite etc. But during ramadam, you're allowed to drink water, and eat dates.
