It's okay though because next week were getting a new supervisor (somone who watches over and controls everything in that shift), the guy smoked a joint on the shop floor for a dare and encourages us to bring in weed (Y)

I work in the visual arts building on campus. I do secretary work but since my title is a student assistant I only get $5.50 an hour and at this rate the only way I'll get higher wages is if min. wages go up, because the school won't let my office raise it.

Yea. I found out at my college that student assistants really add up to nothing when a secretary that worked in my office wouldn't get a raise with the other secretaries because she had still counted as a student assistant at the date the raise was talking about, and that didn't count for working at the school.

Yet my brother and a friend were ones at UGA and they had keys to buildings and such! So I suppose it depends on the college.

I work at a bagel shop. I actually really like my job. Nice coworkers $5.50 an hour under the table so no taxes, plus tips which are normally around like $10-15 a day. Only problem is the only shifts are 8-9 hours and start at either 7 or 6 am. But good job to earn money while still in school, plus you can't not like a job where you steal ~2 dozen bagels and a bunch of cream cheese every time. (hey, they're gonna throw 'em out anyway!)

I'm in school, 7-2:30 monday through friday, then I work every night till 10, with sundays off, making 7 bucks an hour. Minimum is 5.35 out here. I'm at Safeway, just a regular grocery store, bagging groceries, doing the "Cart Redistribution Engineer" thing... pays decent, but insurance and gas are a pain.

I usaully restore historical buildings for a living , but its to cold to be hanging around on ropes and shit on the sides of buildings. So Im collecting unemployment (which barely pays my house payment).
But I make between 25 to 30 dollars an hour depending on the building were working on. state jobs pay like crazy so I love it when we work on court houses and shit.
