but if there was a place so far away that it took 100 years for light to get there from earth, imagine how long it would take you to get there...and you would just be viewing a world without you, probably several million years of a world without you.
If you got there instantly of course you would be viewing a world without you...it was 100 years ago...

if we could bend space in a way, we could travel 10000000 light years in a few mins, wounder if its possable, yanno like folding a playing card in half, tip to tip the distance is shortend.

The doctor from Back to the Future...which is what I stole my last post from... (the 1.21 jigawats of electricity)

donnie darko is a poor example of time travel....i would say that BAck to the Future is a beter bet!..

If Time travel was possible, those who travelled would undoubtedly be unable to interfere..probably more to observe..the time they travel TO...SI we wouldnt know about it..

Hawkings (and others) have outlined some interesting theories...But I got other bones to pick before i start trying to move away from this era...

also..I have always loved superman's method for turning back time(tho i dont think he ever fast forwarded Time--)..he just flew round he earth super fast, and somehow beat Time back a few steps....Has anybody thought about trying to spin the earth in the opposite direction?????Maybe we would all start getting younger???But fuck that would also mean a return of Hanson the half potato/half chimpanzee yankie crooners.........which wouldnt be agood thing..

but yeh keep this shit going people. its intriguing to read (in places!).,..
(film fuckers-- also check out The Butterfly Effect, and defienatly all the back to the future films hahahahhaha..where's that bastard flux capacitor marty!!!!????)

Ok, so here is my theory.

All objects in space creates a dent in the universal grid, correct? This forms a gravity pull...so if we were to have a massiave body in space that spins, it would create a time effect. Just like how our planets revolve around our sun...the closer, the faster time goes by, the further, slower. So time travel IS possible without all the gadgets and whistles...here's an example...if we were to have a man on Pluto, and Earth would continue it's process, in 10 years of his life, the Earth would of gone 30-60 years...so when he gets back, it is like the future...

Yeah but then your not traveling through time your just letting time pass. You would never be able to return to where you were before. What your describing is basically space travel and the factors associated with it.

well maybe space travel really is time travel...but we are ignorant in thinking that time travel is dealing with insane technology and extreme time differences...i say they start building space colonies because we wont be able to survive on Earth forever....every species becomes extinct within some time...who knows, it could be tomorrow that the sun blows up and becomes a white dwarf.

Screw space colonies and space travel why spend billions on funding trips to outer space. This country is in deep enough shit, we dont need to be spending mad amounts of cash when there are people in dire need of help withing our own borders. It's completely ridiculous and twisted. Not only because of the money spent on it but on the whole concept that we deteriorate are planet till it unlivable then move to outer space, it reminds me of the Gorillaz song "Every Planet We Reach is Dead"

These scientists were doing experiments with photons and they managed to get one photon in two places at the same time, It completely blew my mind, they went on to say that infinite gravity stops time (if that makes sense) so the more gravity the slower time goes by, apparently at the centre of a blackhole there is infinite gravity and scientists are working on a way to manufactur wormholes/blackholes with lasers and shit, they smash atoms together in a chamber and then shine lasers into it making a blackhole which they can stretch (somehow) I was fucking baked when i watched it (last night on discovery science) so im probably a little innaccurate but i hope you get what im saying, i sat their untill 3am thinking about it
Peace

hmm time stops when there in infinite gravity...that is very interesting
