There isn't any logic in him being in his house, his cat dying and then him being in the middle of the highway getting hit by a truck so ill take it from the point the cat died :)

Killed the cat when suddenly...

The catdoctor appeared in the middle of the room, first obscured by a thick smoke that seemed to come from...
