I bought a glass bong about a month ago and to be honest, it's becoming so gross that i'm going to refuse to smoke out of it. How would you recommend cleaning the lower blown part? It's really gross right around the water line. Any kind of solution i can put in there that would just eat all that crap away?
Also, do u any of u guys think trying something like juice or pop instead of water would give the hit some flavor of whatever was used?

never use any type of cleaners around your house to clean your bong. chemicals are in there that should never be smoked. i would revoment gettin some of this stuff called kronic cleaner or sumetin like that ( search around the fourms and youll find it ). you cant reach the part of the bong you want cleaned right? i mean like you cant stick a finger in there

yeah, i cannot touch the blown part. the neck is about 8 inches or so and i don't have monster freak fingers. I've tried getting it w/ pipe cleaners but it's hard because the sides are tough to reach.

if you have a dishwasher just run it through there with some detergant, and let it fully dry. thats what it do. then to make sure it clean, put one end of it near the sink spicket and cup your hand over the two, and turn on the water for about a minute so water flows through the bong. now just let it dry and if your lucky enough it might even feel new!

Hey man. I have the best advice for you. Rubbing Alcohol and Salt. go to a dollar store. 2 bottles of alcohol for 99 cent and the same for salt. CHEAP!!!
Im too lazy for the dollar store though. 7-11, $2.50 and I am good for a week, and I clean almost daily. My piece is really hard to clean, cause it perks a few times, so this method is so nice. Easy and cheap.
1.) I pour out the dirty water, and make sure it is completly empty.
2.) Then add your salt Liberaly. Table salt gets in the small spots, but rock salt will work in most occasions.
3.) Pour in the same amount of rubbing alcohol as salt.
4.) For ease, put cling-wrap and a rubber band around the openings.
5.) Shake vigerously, or till clean.
6.) Rinse clean with water.
Salt washes away, and alcohol evaporates.
And then try smoking with warm water. You may end up liking it. I do. I prefer it over ice.
Try this cleanning meathod, and let me know how it goes.

Okay, the lady I bought my glass pipe from (her husband blew it) told me to NEVER use rubbing alchohol on any glass peices. She told me pretty much to think of it as it in a liquid form still, the alchohol goes into glass and can make it brittle and add extra unnessisary molicules in there so if something does bump into it it makes it much easier to break. I use to clean one of my old pipes with it and surely enough the bowl colapsed but I don't know how true this is or if my experience was just coincidence.
I use 420cleaner or formula420 or something like that and it works really well.

I would just use warm water If I had one. How do you think people did it before all this special stuff to clean it?
