how can u make the roach end without any cardboard?

You can roll something similar out of nearly any paper, you just have to experiment a bit and find out the right sizes you need in comparisation to the thickness of the paper. Like take regular paper you'll a few layers to create a roach somewhat like a cardboard one (I rolled from my passport papers once =p). Besides you can also smoke a J without any roach, but I don't really reccommend this.

tickets for things are usually cardboard, business cards are perfect thickness so you can pick up some of those. just find some paper that is a bit thicker than printing paper.

cig packs are too thick really, they end up all crooked and disproportionate to the joint. i prefer to use the card from my skins, or a book of tips.

i never had a problem with the cig packs but i use index cards without ink on them they work great

Anything really, you can even use lined paper.

Easiest thing to do is cut a piece off of the book the papers came in.
