High im new here and just had a question for everyone. Does anyone else get real pissed how shows make weed look or how being high is like. Like in that 70s show with the moving background and sh!t? Characters act like they are tripping or something. I dunno it just pisses me off

Goddamnit, i know. sometimes i wonder if the shows makers have ever toked. its like drugs are BAD kids. they will make you die INSTANTLY

I think that 70's show does a decent job of depicting it. The people don't trip out or anything they just sit around in a circle and talk about random shit. That's pretty similar to a smoke sesh with my friends.

He was talking about one scene in the show where Eric is talking to his parents in the kitchen after he just toked up. The patterned wallpaper in the background is moving up and down and side to side in the background while he's trying to focus on what they are saying to him.

I think the reason television shows and movies show effects of marijuana like that because you really can't get into someone's brain when they are high on screen. So even though weed doesn't fuck you up to the point of hallucinating, I can understand the whole "patterns shifting" thing a lot of shows seem to portray as an effect.

i love the 70s show n think they done it really well... i mean i have never had it as bad as them... but ye when i mashed n really gotta concentrate on whats being sed, i focus on the people, n because i not focused on the background it sometimes looks a bit trippy... till i focus onit again, and also, i think they describe it well... cos how are you going to show that some1 is really wrecked and acting straight... without the person acting/freaking out, i think it was a brilliant idea... what i hate is the adverts to get u off it, like the Brain Warehouse advert... freakout free and the puke stopper, what a load of bull... mental illness aint proven in dope yet and they just throwing bullshit around the place

Thats prbly my favorite show to watch on TV. When there in there circle just talkin to each other it has smoke in the background but they're never high but drunk. I don't get it ><

Im not only talkign about that 70s show...Which is my favorite show by the way..but cartoons such as family guy, Animated, wonder showzen, etc. Im just saying the make it seem like weed turns you into a complete retard.

THEY DO IT FOR US. Plain and simple, they notice that alot of their fans are stoners, so when were high and watching it, it makes it for some entertaining shit!

Yeah, ive seen that episode. I think they did a good job. Think back of your first time getting high, and concentrating on a certain object, everything just going wild in the background. Lol, i used to laugh for hours at that shit.
