Too much stigma attached. The public has a very limited knowledge about marijuana.
The government are reluctant to do tests and if tests arent done the government won't legalise it. Its a vicious circle. Been going on since the reefer madness days.
I also think the people who abuse marijuana give it a bad name.

I hate their damn anti pot commercials, they're so stupid. It's like "1/3 of drivers that get in accidents that are tested for drugs test positive". Really? so 1/3 of the people the cops thought were on drugs really were. I mean it doesn't even mean anything. For all i know they tested 3 people, and 1 was high.

i think it is only a matter of time b4 its decriminalised here in the uk. It has been downgraded to a class c already i think.

You get more trouble for J-walking than possesion here and most of the times if a cop sees you he won't stop

Thats true man!! I got a ticket for taking a leak in public (behind a bar and gargage can - the cop happened to walk by) and then he went on doen the street and walked right past some guys who were smoking a joint. I was so amazed - like geez, the ticket sucks, but it's good to know they care less about weed....

The reason that marijuana isn't legalized is casue they have a very controled system on the crops of tabacco unlike the growth os marijuana. Also although there are many reason both hemp and marijuana should be legalized companys such as oil supplying compaanys dont want it cause hemp can be turned in to a very sufficaint fuel and iol companys would loose a hella lot of monay on it. the thing is that the people who control the goverment 9 the rich people and companys) dont wnat it casu emore than the harmful affects of marijuana it would harm the money inflow they have astablished. kinna gay huh.

... Also the commericals also piss me off cause they say marijuana has 5 times more cancer causing elements over tabbacoo this is true but people dont smoke enough herb as they do tabacco. Imagine if someoen consumed an equal amount of marijuan as a chain smoke does of tabacco they woudl die, and no one would need that much herb in one day to get blazed.

weed should definitely be legalized but it's those people out there who over do it and take it to school, and do like a lot every day....even though it is pretty fun.....

if weed does get legalised i think it'll get treated the same as alcohal, u gotta be over a certain age an all that shit, it makes sense tho coz they dun want kids goin to school high the same way they dont want kids going to school drunk. in ontario(in canada) its decriminalized so u gotta be like over 16 and have 15grams or less, you can have 2 plants per household an u dont get charged or n e thin for it. one step closer to legalization!
