arrested, please help

hey, me and my friends got busted last night at a local park when i cop showed up with a dog and watned to search our car, i had 2 ounces or so in the car that i fessed up to when he said he was going to search it, im 18 so i have to go to court now and shit. Has anyone ever gotten a misdemeanor for this or know what the likely consequences will be? I know the law says a max of one year in prison and $1000 fine. and will my lisence be suspended? please help me out

probably shouldnt be asking us. doubt any of us are criminal experts. call up a lawyer and ask him. or one of thsoe hotlines that give you free legal advice. i got into a problem where an oz was found in my car (mind u i live in canada and there were 3 other guys) but the stupidest thing i did was not do anything about it

btw i noticed the laws are ridiculous over there in the us. especially in texas, i mean come on
Paraphernalia possession class C misdemeanor $500 fine
so even if he was in texas and they could only find a pipe he had to cough up 500 dollars, damn
and good lcuk

They laws are pretty tough on marijuana in America, but the police are allowed to somewhat make their own decisions. My friend got caught with a dime and a pipe on him, nothing too bad. The cop had him place his pipe in a bag and smash it on the cement and grind his weed into the dirt and let him go. For two ounces, you're definitely going downtown...

I'm just guessing it'd be about a day in prison and a $100 fine at the most for under an ounce.

yeah i havent been able to find the actual amounts and that annnnywhere though, i figure its gotta be recorded somewhere
