Hey folks,

been smoking for many years and this is the first time i've come across this type of bud.

It looks fine, its got the right moisture, not too dry or to wet. VERY sticky, stuff is almost like glue once i started bidding it up.

the photo quality isn't that great (cell phone) but it looks great, lots of 'crystals'. nice lot of brown hairs. kinda dark green. Except for one nugget has a lot of white on it.

Like old people get grey hairs its similar to that. Old grey hairs / leafs and even some of the bud on this nugget.

Anyway the stuff smells like a type of motor oil, or grease or gas...maybe even hay from a barn. My dealer says its called exo...never heard of that before in 8 years i've been smoking. Is my herb laced or is this a different kind?

Again i only ask because ive never ran into this type of smelling weed before..doesnt smell that great. I've yet to smoke any. Waiting a few minutes to let it air out after bidding. Also, i've gotten from the same person for about 4 years and i've always been satisfied.

smokes fine, no bizarre taste but what a dirty smell as a nugget. smells like ass

personally i wouldnt smoke anything that smelled like motor oil.
unless it smells like plant matter i aint smokin it

Are you from the UK by any chance?

Are you sure the white stuff isn't mold? Mold smells like ammonia..

If it isn't that then it could be a contaminate...weed can contaminated with all kinds of nasty things

Maybe you could do these tests...

...Unfortunately it tends to look and smell like really nice bud. I haven't found any reliable way of detecting it except by burning it.

Burn a piece through as much as you can with a flame (i.e. before you smoke any) and then crush and smear the bud on a sheet of white paper. Firstly it shouldn't cruch it should disintergrate into a fine light grey ash. Secondly if the ash and the mark left on the paper from it are like shoe polish rather than fine powdered ash then it's contaminated.

You can also drop a bud in a glass of tap water overnight and see if it leaches a cloudy residue and oily surface scum. Some samples have exhibited this in addition to the hard/oily ash.

Yea for real.

Think this guy might be trippin though..oil, gas and hay don't smell alike at all.

If it doesn't look like weed, smell like weed, feel like weed, or you question your weed in any way you probably shouldn't smoke it.

A hay smell can simply because the bud was improperly dried and cured

I see..doesn't really explain the gas smell tho.

Did anybody else noticed the guy hasn't posted since that last post about him smoking that stuff? 0.o

i bet he had some sour diesel or some shit and it was cured improperly.

my friends and i often say weed that smells like hay was either grown near a barn or stored in a bar.
once that barn smells gets on something you gotta wash it out.

The 'hay' smell is usually related to improper curing and/or the result of drying too fast...

The 'gas' 'oil' smell could be entirely something else..or not. Each individual perceives odors differently..
Just as each individual has there own personal perception of what a 'good smoke' is...Cause he says good smoke, doesn't mean we would say good smoke...When you have never seen the other side of the fence you dont know what is there, and think you already have and know the best
