Creation or Evolution?

Are you a creationist or an evolutionist? Why?

I'm definetly an evolutionist, because I think the idea of "God" "creating" the universe is utter bollocks. The Big Bang has been proven, the actual creation of Earth has been proven, even evolution has been proven.

Yet there are still hyper-christian ignorami that refuse to accept the FACTS, because their book tells them otherwise. They even deny the fact that Charles Darwin even existed! What a bunch of cunts.

i am definately a evolutionist, plus the thought of a presence that is everywhere and all powerfull, yet still allows for plane crashes, wars, disease and famine is just too fucking stupid. I mean its fair enough to have a bit of faith but, some people just plain take it too far (darwin never existed? how the hell did they think they could pull that one off?)

I dont think the big bang has been proven - it just hasnt yet been disproven.

I suppose this question boils down to religion in a way - If your religious then God would have built the world in your mind, if you dont believe in God then chances are you'll think the world evolved.

For me the big bang makes the most sense, but I'm sure there will be new theories which will evolve and sound even more accurate

Maybe it was neither creation nor evolution, maybe in 64 years they'll discover that human's were created by aliens........

This one is hard... because in my heart I want it to be creation, but my brain tells me evolution. Maybe a little bit of both? It's been said that we haven't been around long enough to fully evolve as far as we have from nothing, it's a time frame thing. So maybe some creation went down and we have evolved from there? Meh, I dunno.

I Would say that I'm an evolutionist. I don't beleive that some one created us. It just makes no sence to me. Maybe Its the way I was raised but...

i met a couple people in recent months who both discovered god via an actual experience that they both will talk openly and kinda joyfully about. the other night i had a few joints and games of muppet racing with a mate, then he made me go down the pub. unfortunately skunk and zambuca is a interesting mix, me and my mate had a debate on the existance of god. the barmaid was an angel of some kind but her and her coleagues were not particularly interested in my drunken but deep theories about spirituality, the beauty of the natural world, destiny and the rest i forgot. anyway its wicked to see my mate asmodeus has added this forum in because it means instead of annoying beauitful barmaids i can try get some other likeminded peoples opinions on important issues.

i dont discount my freinds experiences. both of their lives changed ina positive fashion after their discovery and acceptance of god. i believe in the existance of something spiritual without a doubt. the mind is something very powerful, the world is so beautiful, our capacity for emotion is amazing, the amount of living organisms is astounding, the way we can dream when our bodies switch off, the coi-incidences in life, deja-vu.

some things in this world are so beautifully constructed that i tend to beleive that some force was or is at work beyond our understanding and perhaps beyond our powers of contemplation.
some things in this world are so fucking nasty, twisted and evil, which lends me to think that there is also something opposite to the beautifully creative force, something negative and bad.

god and the devil? dont know, maybe i never will. gotta remember that humanity has produced most of the suffering for all living things on this planet. sometimes i beleive in the idea that this force perhaps god, has turned his back almost on humans.

another question is that this force in which i beleive has some power over all living beings, anything that can think, anything with some kind of soul, i think they should study animal behaviour in the wild more, even fish behaviour to try find out if like in human society good people tend to hang around with good people and vice versa, for instance i try to spend my time with people that i think are good. a wold for example that saved another wolf from been killed, would these wolves remain freinds afterwards/????wolves are wicked. i know that cats animals fish think, all living things probaly have some power of thought, if so then they have thoughts ovber their behaviour??or just any behaviour after survival.

we may know the methods used by other creatures to communicate, for example that a dog barks or that a dolphin uses ultrasound and wicked singing, but we dont know what they are saying to each other.

anyway that enough randomness.
