How to roll a tulip

An Amsterdam specialist, the tulip is often found (usually half-smoked) in the hands of unconscious tourist. A good tulip is deceptively smooth to smoke and easier to roll than it looks. (and if you fuck up with your girl, this is better than flowers...)

1. Make a roach about the length and diameter of a pencil and seal it with a couple of large papers.



2. Take two more large papers and stick them together to form a square with gummed strip running along one side.



3. Fold corner A over to corner B to form a triangle, leaving the gummed strip uncovered.



4. Wet the strip and fold it over to seal the triangle. You should now have something resembling a flatenned paper cone



5. Open up the cone and tightly pack it with layers of carefully blended mix.



6. Gently crimp together the excess paper at the end of the cone.



7. Place the roach in the centre of the cone, using the crimped paper to hold it in position.



8. Finally, secure the roach by tying thread around the crimped paper, (a rubber band works well too) keeping everything as tight as possible. Blooming tulip-tastic!

has anyone here tried this? is it actually worth it as opposed to regular joints? I'll probably try it no matter what you say, i just want to hear opinions.

Ive had one once. But the Tube was made out of an empty biro pen. I didn't think it was to bad, more for novelty than reguallly use imo anyway.

I had one of those the other week. It did the trick, but it takes a while to prepare and uses up a lot of weed. It's a good novelty joint to start off a session but that's about it.

that makes sense but appearently not everyone does that...guess they make a roach and smoke the tulip half like on the diagram

what happerns if the paper burns away too fast, doesnt your bud drop out ?

This actually looks pretty cool... like smoking a bowl before the joint. What I wonder about though, is what I would use to tie it down... It shouldn't be too heavy but rubber bands? I don't think I'd want to use anything rubber or plastic or cloth. Maybe just wire or dental floss... Then again you could just push it off when its almost burnt down that far.

I haven't chuffed one of these since back in my school days, but i use to use cotton thread to tie the rizzla at the end and use a Plastic biro pen as the long chamber thingy.. Most likely bad for you but meh whatever..
