Why is it?? When we all know that it is less harmful than tobacco or alcohol.



It maybe because people will be tempted into trying other drugs which are harmful. And if all the people were high on weed, it would reduce the productivity of the nation.

It's only for us chosen ones who are capable enough to handle the knowledge.

why isit weed is illegal?
when as you said, it is much much healthier for you than either tobacco or alsocol?
when weed has been proven to have medicinal effects, when both tobacco n alcohol do not
when there is no known mass which can cause an overdose, again unlike tobacco n alcohol.
when the active chemical, THC, has been proven to hold anti-carcinogenic properties

and there are many more, that i cant be bothered to repeat in that criticisin tone...

theres no way the goverment cant kno all the good that weed can potentialy do if controled more (almost all of the downsiddes of weed are souly becuase its illegal, and therefore by nature a shady business)

Taxes my freind Taxes.... has anyone here ever tired growing your own tabacoo? the answer to that is probably no, and if you have it probably sucked and died. Has anyone here tried and succeded at growing the mary jane? the answer to that one is yes!

Tabacco which cannot be grown in America easily and in mass must be shipped in from places such as South America, if marijuana were to become legal, i bet less people would smoke tabacco meaning America gets less out of the taxes they are getting now, workers would be less "effective" which i think is total BS because they are happy as hell to go to work if they can toke during breaks ans stuff, and everyone thinks that its "the gateway drug" which is ALSO BS.

I personally have told myself that as long as I live i will not do cocain or heroin or LSD on my own free will. If people are taught instead about the REAL harmful shit that can kill you then it woundt really be a gateway drug...


Search it up on the internet, its mainly cuz of this guy called Anslinger that made it his fantasy to see the mary jane illegalized back in the 20's -60s.

THe other reason is because marihuana was brought here by the Mexicans, so Anslinger figured... HEY get the mary jane illegalized and youll pretty much get the mexicans in jail. And he also produced countless adds the first saying that marijana kill than when that was scinetifically proven wrong his next one was that it makes you insane, then it makes you get out of control with sex and the list goes on.

So... thats as much as i know about it, I am not born in America but i hope those of you here who are can some how someday become presidents and put some sense into this country of "freedom",

yea, i feel what ur saying about the taxes of tobacco, n how the goverment would loose money from less tobacco being bought.
but if weed was legal, i cant imagine them not taxing the shit out of it, tho i wouldnt complain ifits legal and taxed.
and i am sure they could make more money, cos as you said, tobacco is diifficult to grow, n has to b imported, while MJ, well, about any sucker with half a brain can get a very decent crop, so the goverment could produce fuck loads of the stuff, all with tax.
but it is a good point.

First of all, weed by itself is NOT what gets people into trouble with other drugs. It is not a gateway into an addiction. It is a gateway drug only because the people you become introduced you and the fact that suddenly you have a "hookup" on cocaine, e, crack, whatever the hell you want and you choose to use that hookup.

I think it is illegal because people see that people that smoke weed do other drugs later, but don't see that it is not the weed that does it. If you could buy weed at the store, you wouldn't buy it from some dude on the corner that knows a dude that gets good blow for cheap.
