Ferry's pretty cheap though, Theirs one that goes from the ipswich area. The expensive part is getting to where the ferry leaves from though. Planes the easiest way unless you can drive. Then take your car over on the ferry.

i wouldnt advise ever taking ur car to amterdam,
parking is a nightmare, its not much cheaper than some plane tickets, driving abroad as a relativly inexperienced driver is a bad idea anywy, but amsterdam is especially easy to get lost in. :P

You can smoke in the bar. Well whatever floats your boat but the cheaper the better IMO. I dont go to Amsterdam to sit in my room and smoke tho.

Ferry or something

Also how long does it take to get there on Ferry?
You can get a flight for a pittance these days, it cost my mates something like £90 return, maybe £60 i can't really remember, but it was one of the two.

man, just make sure to order some "oliebollen", but search for some old runned down completely trashed hut and buy them there, the only great oliebollen are made at those places...

Never heard of people get banned from a coffeeshop.
And if so it might be because the visitor was behaving on a way the owners did not like it. But thats the same in pubs and other stores too.
And still.. why bother? there are enough shops in Dam anyway tho

They where going to ban foreign people because people wernt happy that their main tourist attraction was drugs. Im not sure whtas happening bout that anymore though, same as a lot of the coffee shops have had their alcohol liscences revoked when they went to renew them.

Sure they won't do that...Coffeeshops are almost the Main attraction of Amsterdam!! :D
I did hear that in a coffeeshop on the Rembrandtsquare they are rejecting dutch people because they rather want tourists in their shop...also heard that about a bar located there..
i dont really understand that but hey...enough shops around 2 get high (& Drunk) :P
