I'm not gonna encourage them to smoke, but if i ever find out they do (which would take about 5 seconds, i think i know what a stoned teenager looks like by now) i aint gonna try and stop em. I'd even get it for em. I'd rather have them in my house smoking nice cuts of decent bud than out on the streets where they're gonna get caught by the old bill or skanked by some shifty dealer. I'd want em to know what they're doing and who better to teach em? I'd like to know where my kids are and what they're doing. Sneakin around is only gonna get em in trouble.

It's sad when people post things like "ima smok widdem bcuz its da shit n ima be a badss praernt lak i waned" because it's obvious that you kids have NO fucking clue what it's like to be responsible for someone's future or present. I mean, sure, find a philosophy on drugs that works for you: "allow without condoning" "prohibition" "encouragement" but the last one is usually a product of ignorance.
I do not know one parent who WAS a stoner who today would tell their kids to go smoke. Marijuana is not AS bad as some things, but it's still a drug and there could still be repercussions. So before you kids decide that you'll sell weed to your kids and take your cut out (from previous post) you ought to actually consider what having a kid would really be like. And if you don't know - find out - because if you don't know, you'll end up getting yourself in a really fucked up situation and not being able to handle it. And there's enough fucked up situations without ignorant stoner fucks like some of you popping babies out right and left because you don't give a shit.

i have to agree on that. i WILL let my kids smoke weed when i'm older, but i'm not gonna fuckin encourage 'em to do it. if they wanna do it then that's fine with me, because if it wasn't alright with me then i would be a hypocrite. if they don't wanna do it then i'm not gonna pressure my kids into it, just like any other respectable parent. just know that there has to be a place to set privilege, but also a place to set a boundary.

If i have kids which is very unlikly from my current perspective i will try to tach them a sensible way of life and a moderation between drugs and life, if they start sniffing white and popping pills every friday night im gonna tell em wot i think of it and leave them 2 it.

Think about it, one of the biggest problems parents face if their child gets into drugs is that they dont understand it. We've been there and done it all. While i teach my mum about smoking bud, i would be able to show my kid what to do. Plus i know the risks and effects of pretty much every drug my kid could ever throw at me. There's not alot my kid could do that i havent been through myself, so i'd be able to help em out of whatever mess they get into.

I wudnt encourage but i wudnt prohibit, either involves making decisions 4 ur children & they need 2make their own decisions. Id want them 2feel they cud come 2me if they had questions or problems. If i thought they wer smokin id talk 2them about the risks & about their reason. If they cud giv me a coherent reason that says 2me that ther mature enuf 2no wat ther doin, n id say "i dont approve but u need 2make ur own decisions". Id also teach them bout growing their own cuz a)dealers r not nice ppl and b)homegrown is usually weaker. I'd do like my mum did with me. The day she found a packet of cigs in my baggies at the age of 13 she said she was extremely pissed off but expected it coz she smoked, and she wouldnt say any more on the matter. 2 years later i discovered our favourite herb while living in belfast, this being a month after she moved to liverpool n i stayed with my dad in belfast. i never really told her i toked, and she never asked. one day when i was over about 2 years ago (age 17) i decided fuck it, whats the worst cud happen? We were watching the film Seven (excellent, i love fucked up movies when im stoned) and i just took out a wee bag id got in town that day and asked her if i could roll one. She just smiled knowingly and said fine.
My point is she never said not to, and never promoted it. As long as your comfortable with yourself as a parent, if you let your kids do there own thing they'll make the right choices. Oppress them, and they'll do what they think is rebellious to our stoner ideals.
