sifting weed from the excess

heres quite a heavy duty question

When I make a joint I produce off cuts of tobacco combined with small bits of marijuana. Over the years these off cuts are enough to fill a large bag. By putting the excess on a whiteboard (after crap sifting) and removing the green i can get a major smoke. To sift and manually remove the marijuana is very time consuming and tedious, therefore I would like advice on possible methods for extracting these two materials from each other. As the materials are similar (both plants) I can’t figure a way of separating them. There must be a more scientific method that manual sifting?

thanks for stating the obvious. i earn enough money thanks, free weed is not something to turn your nose up at. especially the amounts i'm talking about.

I was gonna try this once on my most desperate search for weed ever, i cut the skin open and there was just a kind of black sludgey baccy weed mix left and for some reason i wasnt that desperate anymore.

So you mean the bit on your rolling tray that falls out your joint when rolling sometimes? (im pretty baked this could be wrong) Just put it in the next Joint you roll thats what i do. Why save all that shit up sounds crazy.

bascially when i rol shit loads makes its way on the table. I collect this as its messy and put it to one side. when you cant get/afford weed you search it out, works a treat.

My friends can roll straight from their leftovers but mine are baccy heavy. I idealy want a way of taking then green out through distillation or something. best idea so far was to use static of a balloon and hope it collects more weed than baccy?

Current technique is to take a pinch put it on white surface, take out the green, throw away baccy, get another pinch and continue.

I skin up over a drawer, by the time i've run out of weed there's normally enough for a joint, and it saves on cleaning up. Your way sounds a bit keen to me mate.

heres an idea: stop rolling your joints with tobacco and u wont be sitting over a pile of tobacco for hours, sifting out little bits of green.

i designed myself a nice little skin up tray, from a baking tray bought for 59 pence from tescos supermarket, a cardboard box, and a hot glue gun.
i have a grinder holder constructed fom cardboard glued onto the tray, along with a foldeed bit of cardboard that holds ur skin, a toilet roll tube cut into two and stuck down to hold rizla, lighter and other bits and bobs, some velcro pads stuck to my weed tin and the tray, so i leave my weed tin on the tray when im home, and un velcro it take it out with me.
my tray catches all my excess, and i just put any weed i see back in my tin, sometimes a little baccy gets in with my weed but fuck it who cares,this keeps thigns clean andlike the guy with the draw suggested after two days theres enough for a joint or half a joint.
dont save it all up for weeks, just use it bit by bit.
i should post a pic of my tray really im quite proud of it, thought about selling them on ebay lol.
edit: plus i hear weed loses its potency after time, so i dont like to save it up, and its prolly not a good idea, if uv had that weed for years in this bag, then its likely to not get u stoned anyway??

How big can those rolling leftovers be... I always put that little weed I spilled in the joint I'm rolling (I suck it in the joint).

each joint creates a cm worth of weed for a joint, after smoking for a mopnth or so you can guess that makes quite a lot. why use the excess when u got loads. save it, sift it and smoke it when low on cash or supplies.

my friends after seeing me sift an 8th now do likewise. I'm merely looking to debate techniques and methods
