Your favourite old cartoons..

Post by Donnie Darko »

Well i saw this being mentioned in the wg quotes thread and thought i would bring it here. What are your favourite older cartoons?

You can try this site for a lot of old intros to cartoons, its quite fun looking through them. http://www.retrojunk.com/

Some of my old favourites (well not all favourites but a few obscure ones that i remember)

Rude Dog and the dweebs
Denver the last dinosaur
Sharky and George (crime busters of the sea)
Smoogies
ZZ and the bots - please tell me someone remembers this, it has a point in each episode when it went 3d and you could put those glasses on to watch it, classic!

Since I'm an old fart, I missed out on a lot of the cartoons of the 90's

Some of my favorites from when I was a kid are:

Looney Toons
The Littles
Gummi Bears
The Smurfs
The Flintstones
Transformers
Go-Bots
M.A.S.K.
G.I. Joe

And two others that weren't cartoons were Pee-Wee's Playhouse and Hey Vern! It's Earnest!!

Jim Varney was awesome. Too bad he died.

ZZ and the bots.... I remember that. That show was kinda fucked, the 3D shit was cool though.

Looney Tunes is good. I still watch that when I can. It's fun to pick out all the things that would get cartoon producers sued if they put that in a cartoon now a days, like guns, smoking, physical violence, and what-not. That Foghorn-Leghorn cracks me up all the time.

Gummy Bears was an old favorite of mine, I was really young when I watched it. All I remember is a bunch of bears that drank potion that made them bounce, and they lived in a hole in the ground or something.

Samurai Pizza Cats anybody?
