Glass Pipes/bongs - heat/breaking/fragility ?

my bf and i got some nice blown glass pipes and bongs over the holidays. I havent used them much before, mostly been a doobie smoker so I was wondering if anyone could answer my questions. My bf is worried that if the glass got too hot from smoking in it too long at a time the bowl or pipe might crack... also was wondering about them going from a really cold place to being lit up... would that hurt them? I dont know quite how fragile they are so Ive been super careful with them one is a nice chamber pipe, one is a unicorn/seahorse lol not sure etc

the glass used on pipes is pyrex its fire and temperature proof, you dont have to worry about it cracking no matter what kind of temperature change it goes through.

glass bowl could get warm though, dont let it slip out of your hands, the floor was harder than the glass last time i checked

thanks for your replies, i thought they must be mafdde out of that but i wasnt sure and forgot to ask anyone! So I will not worry about that, ill just keep being careful that i dont drop it yes! or bang it on anything. my bf almost sent mhy unicornseahorseflying last night when he caught it on a cord he was pulling it was a tense second lol i woudnt have been laughing if it did tho

Yea..almost all glass pipes you buy will be made with pyrix-type glass..just dont drop that.

Bongs are a different story, that much tempered glass would cost quite a pretty penny so they are usualy not made from glass...just the downpipe usually.
