Wish me luck. *POST-OP PHOTOS!*
Send me your good vibes, give me luck.
I have knee surgery to fix 'Subluxation of the Patella' which basically means, my knee cap slides around alot and then suddenly SNAPS to one side, and then SNAPS back, like a giant Rubberband, there going in to tighten/loosen the muscule groups to help prevent this again.
The main cause to this, is a shallow groove that my knee cap slides into.
Then after Surgery, I have six weeks of PT/Rehab.

Yeah I just went through something similar, I'm still going to physical therapy for it. Good luck and be prepared to show patience lots of patience.

drug therapy and physical therapy are kinda different, if you bullshit your way through phys therapy you might end up with a fucked up knee. I wouldn't recomend it.

Yeah, I know that, I've been through Rehab without surgery, 4 times. They know me by name.

It depends what you go in for. Some people go there because they are really sick and other go because of a court order. I have a first hand experience with drug rehab and it helps people but it also has its own flaws. I'm not going to get into it right now.
Back to topic...Daemon when is the surgery scheduled for? What kind of procedure is it? arthoscopic or are they opening up your whole knee?

They're re-arranging the tendons on one side, by splicing it on one side, then folding it over to create more tension...The other side is loosened via splicing.
They would be opening up the whole knee.
Drug Rehab and PT(Rehab) are totally diffrent.

Did they tell you what kind of meds they're going to give you. I was perscribed dilaudid which is a pretty strong opiate and it worked well. My Uncle got the surgery and they gave him a ball filled with morphine that he would squeeze and it would shoot into his leg. Well whatever they give you I'm sure it will be strong so you font have to go through much pain. I remember expecting it to be alot more painful than it really was.
