How long should a roach be when rolled?

and is it rolled tight, or what? Thanks.

All depends on the size of the joint your rolling. If you want your joint to be like a cigarette make the roach big. If you prefer to roll more coned joints then use a thinner filter. Also how long it is depends again on the size of joint your rolling.

Personal preference is all the roach size is. What you gotta do is make it somewhere in between tight and loose so it hits but doesnt let weed come through. the size tho is up to you though just make it reasonably sized so its not half the length of the joint

if you make the crutch half as long as the excess paper, you can tuck the paper back into the crutch, and it will prevent any herb from being pulled through the crutch. I roll the crutch kinda small at first, but then untwist it agenst the inside of the wrap, then fold the excess wrap into it.

Around a cm, maybe a little more. Just big enough so I can hold the joint when it gets really small without burning myself.

Everyone has different ways of rolling, i guess that includes roaches aswell.
I like to make my roaches about 1cm long and pretty thin but not so thin that you cant pull any smoke through.
One of my mates however likes to make his roaches roughly the same length but his are really wide so everytime you take a toke you get a mouthful of weed n baccy
