after you finished rolling a spliff, people normaly push down from the top using a fag butt or a pen/pencil etc,
my question is how much do you need to push down. how compact am i suppose to make it? do i make it compact like a fag?

Just push the weed down until the joint doesn't feel too squishy. If you roll it too tight, you'll feel like you're having a brain aneurism and won't get a decent haul off the joint. Maybe as tight or slightly looser than a cigarette should do.
