Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
Last night my partner and I got robbed at gun point for half an Oz of chron. Thats about $250 where I live. The whole thing seems like a set up.
I've been dealing now for a few months. Usually getting about an Oz or 2 at a time and selling small quantities at a time to kids at my school.
I've had some weed stolen before, not very much though. Last night though, a kid from our school calls me and my partner looking for a half Oz. We never dealt to this kid before but we talked to a few people who knew him and the said he was pretty chill. (I had heard rumors before that his older brother dealt big time.) He gives us a call later saying that he got all the money from his friends who were pitching in with him to buy and that he was ready to meet up. My partner and I go and meet him in his neighborhood (which isn't a sketchy area at all and its fairly close to my house).
We park down the street from his car and he comes and hops in the back seat. He starts off by showing us this bottle of nice liquor he got. Then we show him the bag with a half Oz in it. He just smells it and looks at it for a second and everything seems totally chill. Then a guy runs up to my passenger window (hes black, wearing a black hoodie and mask) and starts tapping on the glass with a pistol yelling "open the door". He opens the back passenger door and thats when I started my car. He leans in the car and "pistols whips" the kid, taking the bag of weed in plain sight. But in the whole 5 seconds that all this went down in, he also managed to reach into the kids bag, sitting on the floor on the other side of the car and take his money. I drive off and get out of the neighborhood.
After driving around for a few minutes to calm down, We went back to the kids car (supposedly he left his keys and phone in his unlocked car). Before returning to the car he had been talking non-stop about how scared he was and how he hoped they didnt steal his car and shit. We got back there and his car is gone. He starts doing this crying shit which seemed totally fake. We eventually drop him off at his girlfriends house. We then went to a party our dealer was having and talked to him about it. He said that it sounded like a set up but he didn't want to talk about it last night cause he wanted to enjoy his party.
So now its the next day and idk what I'm going to do about this. I'm out of $250 and half an Oz. And I can't stop thinking about how a guy with a gun possibly could have shown up the exact time that the deal was going down. Ive heard the kids brother was a big time dealer so he could have been the guy with the gun. Even if I'm sure that they set me up, what can I do?
Idk, I guess I'm just asking if anyone has had anything like this happen to them and what to do about it. because right now I'm half pissed and half scared shitless. I appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.

Re: Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
And as far as his story goes. He says that he got pistol whiped. My partner said that when he looked back, the pistol whip looked really fake. Also that he left his keys and phone in his car which was "stolen" when we returned. However, if it was a set up by him and his brother, his brother easily could have just moved the car. And when we dropped him off at his girlfriends house, my partner asked to use the girls phone. He called the kids phone and said he thought he heard it going off somewhere. Then when we were driving around, everything the kid said seemed like a huge act to try to convince us that he didnt set us up. Despite the obviousness of all of this bullshit, I wasn't about to fuck around while having a gun pointed at me.
When kids have stolen before, my partner and I have just had some intimidating friends of ours to go scare the kids and we got most of our money back. Those kids were scrawny and didn't have guns though. Also, this time, the kid has a brother who probably has a gun and I would bet he has some friends a lot bigger than any of mine.

all i can say is, good fight man. it happens just come back up. it is a risk you take dealing, aswell as getting caught. learn from the experience and dont let it happen again.

Re: Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
Wow..that whole thing sounded sketchy. Like Blunt Doc said ....dealing is risky. You shoulda known something like that was bound to happen if you were dealing with such large quantites of weed.
Most people are shady..sorry to say. Next time only deal to the people that you know you can trust....and I'm talking like..people who you know would push you out of the way of a moving car and get hit themselves. Your real homies.
If weed were legal normal people wouldn't have to deal with shady...or like yourself..NON shady dealers. It is just sad to hear that a harmless plant (in a way) causes so much violence anger.
Next time that happens...kidnap the kid in your car and demand that you get all your money back, plus the pistol
jk jk jk

unless you can prove it, don't fuck around.
if you can prove it, raise hell.
how are you out both half an ounce and $250??

Death is the only certainty. EVERYTHING else is variable.

Yea maybe you're used to selling to kids that don't know any better but really it doesn't matter where you are, 250 is a really really steep price on a half ounce. Maybe you did get jacked, maybe originally they were gonna buy it off you then realized you were some kid overcharging big time and that you probably don't have any muscle/weapons to protect yourself.
I personally recommend checking oneself for OCD at least once every 5 minutes.

It's hard to trust anyone. Money is good when it's flowing, but you gotta sit back and realize what can happen at any point.andriaSRH wrote: Most people are shady..sorry to say. I don't deal much of anything anymore, and not in large quantities or to anyone other than who I know I can trust.
Beyond that... I have protection within arms length should anything go down. If I knew a buddy was in trouble, I'll risk myself to make sure he or both him and I get through the situation in the best way for us.
It's great that you weren't hurt anyway!

I don't really believe in karma much anymore, but I will try to hope that things get you back on track soon

Re: Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
that sounds real, and also far from surprising. The most sroted dealers, or 'florists' as i call them, when they only deal, or mainly deal green, have all been far from happy to encourage new customers...They make enough to stone for free nightly, and make a little bit of pocket money. When guns and knives and baseball bats come into the equation, i instantly think much more of coke dealers...so my first question is : is the green ALL you deal?

if youre gonna stay small... perhaps go back to only smelling small amounts and never carry in cash on you when youre going to deal....

Re: Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
I probably should have known better and not sold to him in the first place. Plus I've thought of a million other things I could have done during the deal that would have prevented that from happening. And to answer a few questions: yes, I've only ever sold bud. It was $250 because where I live, 20$ a g is standard for chronic, and this is nice shit. We took off $30 cause he was buying in bulk.
I can honestly that its a fact that he set me up though. He made several mistakes...and lets just say he should not go into acting. But I didn't really know how to handle it at the time. I took him to my dealer and asked what I should do, but that was before I realized that he was just worried about covering his own ass and could honestly care less if that kid stole anything as long as he gets his money. I have also asked around and a few people have confirmed that it was a set-up. He has apparently done this several other times, even to his close friends. I'm thinking about getting some people to jump him in exchange for some free bud but thats not going to get me my money back. I'm probably just going to pay my dude off and then get out of the business because it has been way too much effort for way too little return.
I'm just venting at this point but thanks for the advice guys. I hope you all have better luck.
Keep tokin

Re: Armed Robbery...WTF do I do?
Where I live 20 a g is standard in chron but the price drops off way faster than that, 20 a g, 50 an eighth, 90 a q, 300 an ounce. Just because when you've bought in bulk it's cost more doesn't necessarily mean that's the going rate there, I used to pay like 400 an ounce before I got wise. BUT I don't know your area so maybe that's normal. Getting hooked up for 15 a g here is not unheard of if you buy often or from a friend. It sounds to me like you aren't very big time at all, you sound more like a middle man at those prices than an actual dealer with a lot of weight to get rid of.
I wouldn't set anyone up to jump him. I think it's a good call to just pay off any debts and stop dealing, this is only the beginning of the troubles it will get you into.

Wow, here I just buy from old timers and get the old rate of $25 a quarter, can't believe how much it costs elsewhere!
I've had people offer to sell me "good shit" for 20 a G but have never taken them up on it just because they claim a certain strain. besides, the old folks have some pretty potent stuff even if they don't know what strain it is.
The only trouble is I rarely get seeds, sounds like a plus for most but I'd rather have viable seeds with my bud.

He's not talking about regular. Potency is subjective when you take tolerance into account. If regular does it for you and you don't mind the taste/harshness, then keep at it to save some money.XXXRueXXX wrote: Wow, here I just buy from old timers and get the old rate of $25 a quarter, can't believe how much it costs elsewhere!
