im not sure if this is true but a wile ago an astroid just missed us and this girl in one of my classes said the world is gonna end september 28 2004 because there is another one comming...dont believe me because im not to sure about it but it could be true because astroids hit us every day but mad small ones or so my science teacher says....sorry if i put a damper on your day(s)

If this was even close to fact, it would be all over the news by now, not being spread round the school by a girl in your class and located entirely in your town. I find it unlikely she would know about this before NASA.

A rumour is spreading on the internet that a doomsday asteroid is to hit Earth in September, astronomers say there is no truth in this but the rumours were likely triggered by a strange asteroid with the name Toutatis.    
 
Toutatis is a strange asteroid. "The vast majority of asteroids and all the planets spin about a single axis, like a football thrown in a perfect spiral," said Scott Hudson of Washington State University. "But Toutatis tumbles like a flubbed pass."   
 
The asteroid will pass by Earth within a distance of a million miles, the closest it has been since 1353 and won't be as close again until 2562, so say calculations. It will appear on September 29th and is 4.6 by 2.4 kilometers in size (2.9 by 1.5 miles).

theres been alot of stuff that cant be proove (or dissprooved for that matter) that a catastofic event will occore on Dec21st 2012. Alot of aincient civilizations that have no way of comunication whatsoever cam to the same conclusion. The scientist are just not sure.
